To comment about article on B 29 and bombing of Japan and effects of diminishing battlefield resistance,  Japanese military and much of government was determined to continue war until point of natl suicide.   Many in military opposed surrender after two  A bombs dropped with catastrophic effects.  Some argue that Russia entering war pushed Japan to surrender not A bombs,  despite absolute USA military dominance and almost no effective Japanese military power left.  Poor communications and lack of open media delayed news of A bombs devastation for some time.
