As NATO in the Pentagon seek to align forces in eastern Europe to offer a deterrent against a potential Russian invasion of Ukraine. One thing that comes to mind is the F-35.
More European countries are now operating F-35s and the US has a forward European presence.
F-35 operate with something called multifunction advanced data links so they can network to one another. Russia is known to have as many as 12,000 tanks. And even if armed with Javelin anti tank missiles, that kind of incursion could be tough to stop.
An air deterrent, something superior like the F-35 which is likely to rival if not fully outmatch the Russian Su-57 might cause Russia to think twice before launching a full scale invasion given that an F-35 would hold their ground force at risk and potentially destroy them from the air.
