It’s a rare look at what may be the stealthiest plane ever.
Northrop Grumman released a picture of the B-21 Raider bomber that gives a new view of the mysterious and largely “black” aircraft.” Many of the plane’s stealth properties won’t be available for the public to see. Still, the photo offers an unprecedented side-view of the plane.
The photo appears to show that the B-21 main contain massive leaps forward when it comes to stealth technology. Its inlets are smoothly integrated into its fuselage-wing -body structure in a way that is flatter, more horizontal, less angular and more seamless than the plane’s predecessor, the B-2.
Ukraine has upgraded its ocean-going drones that are being used to control the naval war against Russia in the Black Sea.
The autonomous naval vessels (USVs) used to be easy prey for fighter jets and helicopters armed with machine guns. But now Ukraine has introduced a USV-variant armed with retrofitted air-to-air missiles.
The weapon, known by the NATO name AA-11 Archer, was arguably the top dogfighting missile of its time, and was carried by planes such as the MiG-29 and the Su-27.
In a clash of two veterans, which bomber is better – Russia’s Tu-95 or the B-52?
Both planes have been a mainstay of their air forces for decades now. And the Pentagon calls for the B-52 to receive upgrades to extend its service life until 2060.
Warrior conducts a comparative analysis of the two bombers.
