Pentagon Sends Undisclosed Number of US-based F-35s to Germany
The US Air Force has sent an undisclosed number of 5th-generation stealth F-35A aircraft to Germany as part of a clear mission to reinforce deterrence against Russia, strengthen interoperability with allies and reassure European partners that the US stands firmly behind NATO.
US Air Force officials have confirmed to Warrior Maven that US Air Force F-35s from the US have now arrived in Germany.
The force of F-35s have arrived at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany along with eight F-15Es and six KC-135 tankers. This development could arguably change the European balance of power in a significant way. Interestingly, the arriving F-35s are not from the first European-based US F-35 at the Royal Air Force’s Lakenheath AFB in the United Kingdom

Navy “Project Overmatch” Connects Ships, Drones, Missiles & Sensors to Attack in Seconds
(Washington, D.C) Torpedo-armed submarines need to locate and attack enemy surface ships and submarines, undersea drones need to detect mines and enemy submarines, and surface ships need to launch massive offensive attacks, all while simultaneously networking with unmanned systems and, perhaps most importantly of all, deterring incoming enemy anti-ship missiles.
It is a multi-domain focus for the Navy, operating within a conceptual framework calling for a heavily armed, yet distributed and highly networked fleet. It would be safe to say that “information processing,” speed, and shortening the decision-making cycle to exponentially decrease “sensor-to-shooter” time is now a defining concept in the Pentagon’s multi-domain focus on future warfare. Information at the “speed of relevance” from space, surface, to air, to ground, to undersea… is the sought after goal.

(Video Report) Modernized DDG(X) Destroyer Warship Designed to Fight into 2060s and Beyond
The US Navy is offered a preliminary conceptual rendering of a next generation destroyer called DDG(X).
The concept is to engineer a warship to sail alongside the existing DDG 51 destroyers into 2060 and beyond. The hull form has yet to be decided upon, the rendering was just an initial concept.
But the bulk of the combat system will be similar to the DDG 51 flight three Arleigh Burke class destroyers. They’ll have a radar system 35 times more powerful than previous systems.

Will Acquisition of F-35s Inspire Finland to Join NATO and Deter Russian Aggression?
Will Finland join NATO? It is an interesting question in light of the country’s decision to acquire the F-35 and join a collective force of networked, European-based 5th-generation aircraft.
Finland is described as an allied or partner nation regarding NATO but has not formally joined the alliance. Many speculate this could be due to concerns that Russia would be extremely unhappy and threatened by the development. Should that stop Finland? Particularly if the country were backed by the protective NATO article 5 security guarantee ensuring an alliance-wide collective security posture. An attack on one, amounts to an attack on all, something designed as a formidable deterrent against any Russian aggression.
